From Nurse to Mompreneur: How I Found Financial Freedom and Balance After a Challenging Journey
As a registered nurse and a mother to two beautiful children, I understand the intense challenge of balancing work, motherhood, and everything in between. Three years ago, after giving birth to my first child, I had to return to work just a couple of weeks later. I missed out on those precious early moments, and it was incredibly difficult.
But what I didn't expect was that just a week after giving birth, I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and had to be hospitalized for 10 days. My body was not ready to jump back into work, and I realized that I needed more than a couple of weeks to fully recover. The maternity leave I had was too short for the rest my body desperately needed.
This experience was a wake-up call. I knew I had to find a better way to manage my work, my health, and my family. This time around, when I gave birth to my second child, I made a commitment to be fully present and to truly recover. I took the time I needed to heal, both physically and emotionally, and embrace the first precious moments with my newborn.
